Finding & Renting a Storage Unit

Forget about the old days of using the phone book to call a bunch of different storage facilities with half of them answering their phones, and half of those people having what you need available to rent, and then half of those not being able to meet you at the facility to let you in until it's on their time frame. Today we have the greatest resource ever: the Internet. You can easily find a website for a storage facility and see everything they offer, the units that are available, rent and pay online, and move in the same day. When it comes to finding, the Internet is the source to go to! Once you have found a bunch of different storage facilities, it is time to ask yourself some questions about the storage facilities.

  • Location: Is it close to roads?

  • Safety: Does it have safety features like cameras, fencing, access control, etc.? How is the neighborhood?

  • Cost: How much does the storage unit cost?

  • Easy Access: Can you easily maneuver a truck around the facility?

  • Amenities: Do these offer rental trucks, moving supplies, locks, etc. or do you have to go to different places and figure out logistics like parking your car somewhere, picking up a truck elsewhere, etc.?

  • Features: Can you rent online? Receive Text/Email Notifications about your bill or account? Access your bill online and make a payment online? Set up recurring billing?

Moving is stressful enough. Keeping all of these questions in mind as you search for a storage facility could save you some headaches down the road. Here at Elyria Storage, we strive to provide you a seamless, stress-free, one-stop experience.
